Wiksten Shift Dress

Learn how to make the Wiksten Shift Dress (short version) in this beginner garment sewing class.  This loose shift is both comfortable and elegant, the perfect wardrobe staple. You will learn how to construct this garment from start to finish and read a sewing pattern.

Skill Level: beginner
Skill Details: Must have basic sewing skills and know how to use a sewing machine.
Requirements: Wiksten Shift Dress + Top Sewing Pattern Woven Fabric - we recommend a light to medium weight fabric with good drape such as linen/linen blend or cotton woven. Matching Thread 1/4 yard lightweight fusible interfacing (optional)

Instructor Bio: My love for sewing began when I was in my high school home economics class. That passion grew when Charlee Beth, my daughter, was born I began smocking and heirloom sewing, and continued when my son Clark was born. I have been sewing clothing, home d?cor, and quilts for 25 years. When I am not immersed in a sewing project, I enjoys travel, exercise, and spending time with my husband, Brad, and our children. I am excited to share my passion for sewing and fabric with the customers and friends of Thread.
