About the Owner
Alyson Ray, owner of Thread Fabric Store is a wife, a mom, a daughter, a friend and a sewer.
Sewing and fabric has brought me so much joy in my life. Taking a piece of new fabric and a new pattern and turning into something to enjoy or to give is a pleasure that most sewers and crafters understand.
I opened Thread because I believe in the passion of this craft. Some say sewing is a dying art. I disagree. In fact, I believe sewing is becoming stronger than ever.
Thread is a place for all levels of sewers and for people who do not sew, but just love fabric. Thread is place for those that want to fill their life things that they have made. I wanted to have a place that offer inspiration through colorful fabrics, patterns, trims and books. But mostly I wanted ALL of us to to be inspired by each other. One of the driving forces of of embarking this big adventure was to meet others who love what i love. For it is in community that we all grow. Come sew with me!
